Here you will find basic information about VAMWA membership for localities and authorities (referred to as “Agencies”) and for engineering firms. For more detailed information and a Membership Application, please click here. To see a current list of our Members, please click here.

For localities and authorities, there are two membership categories based on treatment capacity:

• Agency Members are public agencies with VPDES permitted treatment capacity of at least 5 MGD in the aggregate.

• Associate Agency Members are public agencies with VPDES permitted treatment capacity of less than 5 MGD in the aggregate.

For engineering firms, there are two membership categories:

• Consultant Members are business entities with at least one office in Virginia or are under contract to an Agency Member. This category is limited to 8 firms.

• Associate Consultant Members are business entities with at least one office in Virginia or are under contract to perform work for an Agency Member.
